 This month hoax email's seemingly from the IRD have been circulating asking you to send your personal details and IRD number.  The IRD will never ask you to forward any personal information by email and would like to repeat the warning that you should always be very careful about who you give your personal information and IRD number to.

If you receive an email like this the IRD advise that you delete it from your inbox straight away, do not open it and do not forward it to anyone else.

If you suspect that you may have forwarded your personal details to this hoax email please call the IRD on 0800 227 774.
